ELSYS Consulting & Advisory Website Redesign
ELSYS is a marine automation and offshore engineering company based in Vigo, Spain, delivering electrical power systems, control automation, software solutions, and the VAMOS™ platform for modern vessel operations.

Project Overview
ELSYS required a website that more accurately represented its expertise in marine automation, offshore engineering, and vessel control.
The previous website conveyed ELSYS’s involvement in electrical power, control systems, software solutions, marine automation, and offshore energy. However, it required a clearer structure, improved visuals, and a more focused explanation of the VAMOS™ platform and broader engineering capabilities.
Vscale redesigned the website in Figma and rebuilt it in Webflow, delivering a modern, structured, and scalable digital platform for ELSYS.
The new website features a clearer, product-led journey, helping visitors understand ELSYS as both an engineering specialist and the provider of the VAMOS™ vessel automation platform.
The Challenge
ELSYS operates in a technical sector where trust, clarity, and credibility are essential from the first impression.
The previous website included valuable information, but the user journey lacked clarity. Key areas such as engineering solutions, marine automation, control systems, power management, offshore infrastructure, and software capabilities needed to be more accessible and easier to navigate.
The challenge extended beyond visual redesign. The primary goal was to organise complex technical information into a clearer digital experience that supports various visitors, including vessel operators, offshore project teams, engineering partners, and maritime decision-makers.
The website needed to:
- Present ELSYS as a credible marine automation and engineering company
- Improve how the VAMOS™ platform was explained
- Make products, services, and engineering capabilities easier to explore
- Strengthen the visual identity and overall brand perception
- Create a more structured journey from homepage to enquiry
- Support future content such as news, case studies, careers, and product updates

Research & Positioning
Before starting the design, we reviewed the existing ELSYS website, its content, and how similar companies in marine automation, offshore engineering, and vessel technology present themselves online.
The goal extended beyond modernising the website. We aimed to define ELSYS’s positioning, introduce the VAMOS™ platform effectively, and present technical information in a more accessible way.
The research focused on:
- How technical marine companies explain automation and control systems
- How product platforms are positioned for vessel operators and engineering teams
- How offshore and maritime businesses build trust online
- How service categories should be separated for easier discovery
- How calls to action should guide users towards brochures, enquiries, and product information
- How the website could balance technical detail with a cleaner commercial message
This research shaped a clearer direction for the website. ELSYS needed to appear advanced, credible, and engineering-led, while remaining easy to navigate and retaining sufficient technical depth for specialists.
Website Structure & User Journey
Improving the website’s structure was a key part of the project.
Instead of a general business overview, the new website separates ELSYS’s offerings into distinct areas. This helps users understand ELSYS’s services, the VAMOS™ platform, and its role in modern vessel operations.
The new structure supports:
- Product discovery for VAMOS Control™, VAMOS Power™, VAMOS Energy™, and VAMOS Insight™
- Clearer service pages for software engineering, offshore infrastructure, vessel new build, and vessel conversion
- Stronger homepage messaging around vessel automation and maritime operations
- A more professional route into brochures and enquiries
- Better future expansion for case studies, news, careers, and technical content
This resulted in a more effective structure for both users and search engines.
Figma Design Process
The redesign began in Figma to plan the layout, visual direction, content hierarchy, and responsive experience before development.
The design aimed to create a modern maritime technology feel while ensuring the website remained professional, clean, and user-friendly. The goal was to better align ELSYS’s digital presence with the scale and quality of its work.
The Figma process helped us define:
- Homepage layout and messaging flow
- Product-led navigation
- Service section layouts
- Visual hierarchy for technical content
- Mobile and desktop structure
- Call-to-action placement
- Reusable section patterns for consistency
This approach enabled thorough review and refinement before development in Webflow, reducing guesswork and ensuring a more controlled build process.
Webflow Development
After finalising the design direction, the website was built in Webflow.
Webflow provided the flexibility to create a polished, responsive website and simplified future updates. This was essential for ELSYS to accommodate new products, technical content, news, and case studies.
The Webflow build included:
- Responsive page development across desktop, tablet, and mobile
- A clearer navigation system
- Product-focused sections for the VAMOS™ platform
- Structured service pages
- Reusable layouts for future content
- Brochure enquiry and download pathways
- A more scalable foundation for ongoing website updates. The build was designed for easier management and to enhance ELSYS’s professional digital presence.
Before & After
Before the redesign, the ELSYS website included important technical information but lacked structure and was difficult to navigate.
After the redesign, the website positions ELSYS as a modern, product-led marine automation company. The new site highlights VAMOS™, improves the structure of services and products, and better reflects the company’s technical capabilities.
Key improvements included:
- Stronger homepage positioning
- Clearer VAMOS™ product communication
- Better navigation across products, services, case studies, news, and company information
- Improved visual design and brand credibility
- More structured content for technical and commercial audiences
- A Webflow foundation that is easier to maintain and expand
The Outcome
The redesigned ELSYS website provides a clearer, more professional, and scalable digital platform.
It now more effectively communicates ELSYS’s role in marine automation, vessel control, power management, software engineering, and offshore infrastructure. The website also strengthens VAMOS™’ product presence, helping visitors understand how the platform supports smarter, safer, and more efficient vessel operations.
The project helped deliver:
- A stronger digital identity for ELSYS
- A clearer product-led structure for VAMOS™
- Improved communication of marine automation capabilities
- Better separation between products, services, and company information
- A more professional user journey for maritime and offshore audiences
- A scalable Webflow website ready for future growth
